I don't know why, but i've been completely giddy all day today. I think its because a bloke on the radio this morning claimed the current financial crisis was so bad, that it signals doom for us all and will go down in history as the worst economic catastrophe ever (he was made redundant this morning). Its not that statement that tickled me, but a guy who followed up his call with a comment that i think makes complete sense. He said "It was pointless feeling sorry for ourselves, redundancies, job losses and belt tightening should all be greeted in an air of optimism for the future". He continued "There are far more terrible things going on in the world, so get a grip and move on". I don't know what it was, but i became a lot more optimistic after this and did my daily dealings this morning while laughing and singing my head off! I was still laughing later on when i heard an unconnected Bernard Manning comment shortly after, that just completely doubled me up to the extent of me injuring myself! Don't ask, i'm still in a bit of pain!:)Thursday, 22 January 2009
